Growth Mindset
1st of February, 2020Stanford psychologist Carol Dweck found, in her book ‘Mindset’, that people adopt two mindsets: Fixed Mindset and Growth Mindset
- Fixed Mindset:
- Believe that they’re born with a predetermined amount of intelligence - either they’re smart or they’re not.
- Failure indicates they’re not smart.
- They do things that validates their strength.
- Give up early and easily.
- They prefer to point to Lack of effort instead lack of ability
- Growth Mindset
- Believe they can cultivate and grow intelligence.
- View failures and challenges as opportunity.
- Don’t give up.
